Although I agree that leaks like this need to be plugged, the fact that ministers like Hancock feel that they can get away with their actions means that sometimes they're a necessary evil.

There are two sides of the coin here.

1) We need to know when Ministers are breaking their own rules/laws particularly under a liberal dictatorship as we have now.

2) We need to understand where security is lacking as similar could be for instance in the Defence offices.

The "camera" used to take the footage had been turned into the room by someone who intended to then steal the footage. The camera should have been monitoring a balcony to detect intruders or terrorists. The security of the building and safety of all the staff was consequently compromised. Criminal intent.

hi inny - nice of you to come back to my post and moolah - trust law/equity is a little different in Scortland BUT - it is breach of trust - not necessarily a crime

it was £600k in the accounts and now it is £400k
difference 200k and all you can say is that it is somewhere else and it has to be put back - (*)

so that leaves a hole of 200k, somewhere else? yup and that of course is a different matter all together.
