I thought he came across as a dangerous individual, kept on referring to 'we' as though he is part of a secret elite group of would-be unelected rulers of the country/world. Sinister. Nice to hear him slag off the blond weakling though. :-)

I thought L K was good. Not the usual shouty men trying to intimidate. Whatever your political persuasion, this interview was interesting .
I might look it up and watch it.
Question Author
gromit, it was interesting. She's a clever woman and a good interviewer.
Sorry, I can’t stand her.
Put it this way: although I don’t like him, I believe everything he said.
Johnson was in Cummings’s pocket to start with.
Johnson had no plans for government beyond Brexit. Good at winning but hopeless thereafter.
These are hardly earth-shattering revelations tho I suppose horse’s mouth and all that …

I believe his factual statements on the whole; he's not an idiot (nearly as good as Malcolm Tucker), but his smiles and the rest show what he believes in.
He believes in anarchy basically.
He is driven by ideology and the desire to do stuff. Johnson is obsessed with being powerful and popular.
Interesting to hear him say that anyone rho thinks Brexit is bound to turn out well must have a screw loose tho in fairness he said the same thing about the Remain option
He didn’t explain why he thought Brexit was nevertheless a good thing.
To be sure he spun a good line with his “taking back control” nonsense at the time.
Cummings and Johnson - two out-and-out liars - no wonder the country's in such an awful state with them kicking off the current Govt, then falling out like Tweedledum & Tweedledee.

This country needs a leader, not a lying narcissistic cheat.
I believe what he says is true. The problem he's got in his crusade to harm BJ is that he's such a slimy and unlikeable character himself, that you instinctively feel you should be on the side of the person he's attacking.

That's why these revelations are not having the earth shattering effect he perhaps thought they would.
Odd isn't it? No one believed him before - and suddenly he's squeaky clean.
I trust neither Cummings truths nor Kuenssberg's left wing bias.
Cunk on Britain gives a better fact based report on the social development of Britain and is more fun
I refuse to listen to that piece of excrement.
I actually don’t think Cummings is “slimy”
He’s driven and doesn’t suffer fools gladly.
So hardly surprising that he’s fallen out with Johnson whom he’d never have respected to
start with.
The fact he plainly has his agenda of revenge will plainly lessen the impact of his words. Added to the fact that for now lots of voters where it matters are still it seems prepared to forgive Johnson anything. That won’t last of course but even that might not matter
It depends what he's saying Naomi. If it's that he drove to Barnard Castle to test his eyesight, it's unbelievable horsetissh. If it's that Boris is a liar and a bit clueless, it rings very true.
Remarkable the calibre of the politicians we have today.
Tarnished and dishonourable, dishonest, and devious.
Whatever happened to integrity, serving the country with intelligence and consideration?
Naomi at 11.02pm.

I thought exactly the same.

With Barnard Castle he was a despicable liar according to many, but now, probably to the same people, he’s to be believed.

Very odd.

Cummings making excuses about breaking lockdown rules: a hastily botched tale which unbelievably didn’t get him the sack from the liar in chief.

Cummings doing an interview about the PM: ok he’s definitely got it in for him but I doubt he ever really thought that much of him to start with.
Whatever else you might think of him, plainly he’s not making it up (there is some opinion in there too it isn’t all fact)

But it surely isn’t hard to grasp concept that sometimes people lie to suit themselves and sometimes they tell the truth even when maybe they shouldn’t
