Tory Lead Over Labour Only 4% Now Says Poll.

OK, its only a poll but..
The data gave Johnson's government only 38 per cent support, down from 44 per cent the previous week. By comparison, Labour had gained three points for 34 per cent support.
I'm not sure it is all down to the proposed NI hike, many people I speak to hate Boris and his handling of everything. He seems to be uniting left and right and young and old -against him.
Come on 1922 get rid of the useless buffoon before he wrecks the Party totally.

Really?
Apart from the night clubs reopening nothing else much happened. Masks and Social Distancing were no longer required but shops and public transport still "expect and recommend" them (and many people have complied with that expectation). Bars and pubs need no longer to provide table service or need to limit the number of customers but most do. The promised "return to the office" has not materialised, with government recommendations to stay at home remaining (to the delight of most people with a decent sized house and a garden from which to "work").
"Freedom Day", thanks to the government's continued timidity and its determination not to reap the maximum benefit from the success of the vaccine rollout, was nothing of the sort.

I’m not sure how the article on the Unite election implies that “KS” might be on his way out.
It points out that there are 3 left wingers in the running who may split the vote and let the moderate in.
But even if they don’t, and Unite ends up with a another hard left leader like Howard Beckett, that’s a funding issue potentially as McCluskey had already cut funding in protest at Starmer.
If I was Starmer I’d say **** you then I’ll go somewhere else for funding :-)
So the issue isn’t Starmer it’s the fact Labour no matter who is in charge is reliant on Unite money to a large extent.
Whoever wins the election Starmer should see it as an opportunity for reform. After all he has the backing of the NEC

For sure it is! And one by the way I fervently hope he wins.
It we end up with a lot more deaths and he’s forced to go into reverse then that will be yet another occasion where he’s been perceived to have erred on the side of laxity when it comes to restrictions.
Personally I think he’ll and we’ll be ok but it’s easy for me to say that sitting here
