I'm not making excuses for anything Andrew may/may not have done but why are the US courts pursuing him yet issue retrospective Diplomatic Immunity to a US citizen who reportedly killed a young Englishman when she was driving on the wrong side of the road?

And supposedly using her phone at the time
Pure bloody-mindedness on the part of the US.
Because they are two completely separate things
Ich, they are not separate in the fact that one country is asking another for assistance with a legal matter.
Are 'US courts' pursuing him or is it a US law firm? I don't have a link
The Duke of York is being sued in the US by Virginia Giuffre who claimed she was forced to have sex with him on three occasions in 2001 when was only 17. Prince Andrew vehemently denies all allegations made against him.

^^^^^^^^
so it's not the US Government, it's private.
It's a civil claim and it's the American law firm who are hounding him.
Like I say, completely unrelated issues.
Is someone going to say “let’s not pursue the Andrew thing because of the Sacoolas case?”
Hardly
ich, like I say @ 12.18.
Entirely different crimes and circumstances.

You are comparing Apples with Fruitcakes.
According to some abers , P/A has not actually commited an offence.
Gulliver //According to some abers , P/A has not actually commited an offence.//Enlighten us then and tell us what offence he has committed? Committed not alleged to have commited.
Much as I dislike the man, he hasnt committed any offences Gulliver.

Innocent until proven guilty remember, and that is by a Court of law not social media witch hunts.

As for the current speculation, that is a civil case andthere will be huge sums of money involved. Think what you will.
Cus we dont like filthy nonces so we dont want to protect him
// filthy nonces // ?
The woman was 17 a fact she was prepared to keep quiet at the - but not now.
time
I wish they would get their facts right.
Did he rape her or did he have consensual sex with her?
There's a big difference.
In this country she wasn't underage, and because she was afraid of what might happen to her if she refused, she consented.
Now that Epstein is dead and Maxwell is probably going to be gone for a while, she probably feels now is the right time to get justice for what happened to her, but I don't think she'll win the case.
As advised, there is no formal charge against the prince at the moment, which makes his legal team's approach of silence all the more baffling.

All they have to do is put out a statement saying he denies all allegations, and that's it, legally, he is where is right now.

The problem is, silence makes him look guilty in the court of public opinion, an arena where his stock is at its lowest, which is not saying much, but it's certainly not helping his public profile, or that of the Royal Family.

He remains innocent until proven guilty, but seems intent on making himself look arrogant and seeing himself as not accountable at best, or sleazy and sliding out of his responsibilities at worst.

I side with the general public perception of Andrew that he is a stupid arrogant pompous man, but surely he is surrounded by enough people who live in the real world, to advise him better than this?

Maybe not.
Virginia Roberts obtained a massive settlement fee from G. Maxell for defamation in 2015. She wants her pound of flesh from Andrew now.
