I wonder how much help they will get and how many of their fellow countrymen will have the gumption to join them ?
I really hope they can be effective and rapidly increase their numbers

//Maybe they should recruit some girl soldiers too.//
Seriously, you think these people that are about to be slaughtered want to pamper to your PC tick boxes?
And just what exactly do you think The Taliban would do to women soldiers?
Unfortunately Stickybottle I cant see them doing much other than being a minor irritant to the Taliban.

“I hope not.
We should stop interfering in Afghanistan”
What do you hope not?
The question was about internal resistance.
In fact as I posted above those fighters in the Panjshir valley are unlikely to be the main armed resistance. That is likely to come later and a civil war is likely to develop which will drag in neighbouring countries and eventually the west. Like it or not.
Mind you I can see the SAS getting involved long before that :-)
And other special forces. A lot more of that happens than is generally realised

The Taliban having captured a fantastic amount of weaponry & equipment, left behind by the Americans, - which should have been destroyed or rendered useless - are now for their size, one of the strongest armies in the world.
These guys in the mountains have only 'sticks & stones' by comparison, & pose no threat whatsoever.
