Spot on, LadyCG!
"any service can choose who they serve and they don't have to explain why."

If that is the case, there will be no grounds for prosecution so why are you getting up to high doh?

"any service can choose who they serve and they don't have to explain why."

Providing they don't break any of the anti-discrimination laws.

JD, 18:46, indeed and by not explaining why they are not. The plaintiff will have to show evidence of what they are alleging. I suspect that places were not available at the exact time they first applied, but later became available. If the nursery can demonstrate that the action will fail. The "minister" just spat the dummy out because of his "do you know who I am" stance coupled with the chance to play the race card as they do when they don't get their own way. I hope the judge sees through all this and throws it out and awards costs to the nursery.
If you are still referring to me in that bundle of assumption ynnaf - please desist.

You know nothig about me.

Mozz, if only you'd posted earlier :-)

tomus: "This happens regularly. Just because you own a business it doesn't mean you can do what the cuff you like with it. You still have to obey the law. If they can show they have, they won't have a problem. " - how have they not obeyed the law?

TORATORATORA, if your reasoning is correct, the owners need only stay silent and they will be fine.
He's a very powerful man in a not very straight admin.
Far from having nothing to worry about, he's got 7 ways to Sunday to, ahem, mess them up.
I wonder if Humza knows where the missing £600,000 has disappeared to.I wonder if he knows where Peter Murrell is also, because no one else does.
It may be that when people are used to getting their way by making a lot of noise it becomes a habit but a seasoned politician and his veteran 'cause' specialist may have miscalculated on this occasion.

It'll be interesting to see who blinks first after a high level cuppa at Ya Beaut Hoose with She Who Must Be Obeyed as the ramifications are examined, voter-wise.

It's no' the toon cooncil noo, Humza.
I can just see Humza now stalking into the nursery and telling the terrified owners and the scared little kiddies and saying to them-"Dont you know who i am,little scumbags, dont you know who i am?".SNP scum.
Perhaps they had reached their quota of little Ranjit Singh's
Maybe whoever makes the decisions at the nursery just hates the SNP?
