It seems that there is very little evidence of empty supemarket shelves in E/U Countries or shortage of lorry drivers, as the hard line Brexit MPs keep telling people.....

Nothing compares with the UK shortages, which are getting worse by the day. Brexit and Exit from the single market and Customs union are to blame . Blaming Covid is just face saver... Time for a few U turns Boris

Other EU countries have had Covid you know! There does not seem to be any shortages in the Supermarkets over there! I wonder why? Because all EU lorry drivers have gone back home perhaps?

It's about to get blustery again. :-)
^it won't if people don't rise to the bait...
Wouldn't live be so wonderful and rosy if we'd have stayed with the blood sucking leeches at the EU.

You lot can't wait for a Gulliver post ; otherwise the withdrawal symptoms kicks in

Brexit is a success.
Since leaving imports from the EU have risen - by 4.7% last month.

Shortages are down to Covid. Currently 40,000+ cases everyday.

Nice try Gully.

PS, you forgot to mention Boris!

Can see a winter of discontent for the Brexiteers, wonder when the Power cuts will start ?.
Brexit has so far been a disaster. Everyone knows it.
Regardless of who you blame for the empty shelves.
Not an existential one admittedly thank goodness, but look back at the trailing wake and the stuff coming out the back isn’t pleasant
As you said Gulliver, we see here the Brexiteers are ducking behind Covid as a defence for the consequences of the Brexit blunder.

Keep up the good work, there's room for both sides on Answerbank, in spite of the Hard-Right attempts to dominate.

//Brexit has so far been a disaster. Everyone knows it.//

No it hasnt, true it could have been better in some areas but its still in the early days and Covid has been a problem for both the UK and the EU.

And no, everyone does not know it, stop making sweeping untrue statements.
Gulliver I entirely agree. Empty shelves getting worse now and I wonder why its not in the Press? Mmmmmmm.....Brexit will be the worst thing that has ever happened to the UK, history will prove that.
My Crystal ball says no it won't.
Gully.
There is more EU produce coming into the country since Brexit, yet there are gaps on the shelves.

How do you explain that Gully ?
The empty shelves, although they're not in evidence in our local supermarket, are partly due to the backlog at the DVLA. My friend is a recently retired HGV driver. He has had a successful medical & submitted his licence application weeks ago so that he can get on the road again. Nothing yet from the DVLA. Several of his friends are in exactly the same situation. There must be others too.
