I live less than a mile from the depot and I thought it was an earthquake at first. The whole house shook violently and a few things fell over.I also work in the industrial area and my company is about a quarter of a mile from the fire. This morning is the first time we have been allowed back into the premises and I am currently sitting at my desk typing this message. In front of me is a large window and I can still see that the fire is not yet out because the is still a huge flickering orange glow.It is a little unnerving, but Im sure we would not have been allowed back if it was unsafe.Although the damage to some nearby buildings is severe, I think most people are thankful that the explosion happened at 6am on a Sunday morning, and not 9am on a Workday.
