No one is making the boys wear skirts. I'm sure if they don't want to they won't. has anyone actually read the whole article before rolling their eyes? It was the year six pupils' decision -on their own -after reading about a similar equality day in Spain
"The school said pupils in P6 – the equivalent of Year 6 in England – came up with the idea"
also :
" An email to parents from Castleview said it wanted children to be ‘comfortable’ taking part and that trousers and leggings could be worn under the skirts if needed.
So, whats the big problem then?

the kids are more likely to get teased if they don't take part in a 'dress day'. This is one day -do you realise that Pixie? One bleeding day like world book day. They are not going to expect male children to wear skirts on normal school days. BTW try getting a three-year-old to wear something they don't want to LOL!

Well, yes, that had crossed my mind lol. "One day" is worse in my view.
If this is an aim, to make people more familiar and find it less "weird". Do it once a week, at least, for adults too. It would start off as a laugh and people taking the pee.... but end up as less and less of an issue.
I mean, do it or don't.... but a half-hearted nod, is just a gesture.
