A lot of wet tories, labourites, 5th columnists, RBID ers etc keep pronouncing it's time for the PM to go, yada yada. No one seems able to outline the method by which he might go but hey ho, I don't expect much but here's what I'll do. I'll have a £10 bet, charity of your choice, with anyone on this site that Boris fights the next general election for the Tories. Stating the obvious perhaps, but there you go.
An 80-seat majority says a lot of candiates could shuffle over the finish line first, no matter how lamely, Johnson included.
Tory leaders are quite powerful in general anyway: they don't have the same mechanisms for removal that labour ones do.
So no betting from me, other than someone other than me is bound to point out that this isn't chatter bank material :-)

Yes but it's a VONC in the government are enough of his own MPs going to vote to remove themselves? ...even if they did the PM remains and it just means another GE and I win. next.....

There isn't going to be a successful VONC in the government. I would bet on that!

If there was, having started out with an 80 seat majority then I'd also bet it would be the end for Johnson. But that scenario won't arise
