1 maltese cross and three gongs

can you tell me what they are for please

For his wedding - I swore he only had one - - are medals like coat hangers?

can anyone tell me what the standard handout for 1939-45 is?
two stars and three gongs

stars can be any from: italy burmy africa
but the gongs - war medal, defence medal and kings medal - - or what?
( proper q I just dont know)

Not enough info there pp. The ribbon colours would be a huge help, plus what is written on the metalwork, if anything. Send in a picture and you will get the answer.

( five years in a POW camp post Dunkirk)

but alot - as in 90% have two stars and three gongs

in WW1, if you got a British War Medal and a Victory Medal (anyone who served got them), they were Mutt and Jeff. If you also got a 1914-15 star, they were Pip, Squeak and Wilfred. I don't know that the comic strip connection lasted until WW2, though.
