Yes the Polish situation is different.

He was converted TO Christianity.

He arrived in the UK from Dubai "around" 2014 having been sent there from Iraq by his mother, allegedly to escape an abusive father. He was confirmed into Christianity by the Rt Rev Cyril Ashton in Liverpool Cathedral in 2017. He was, according to those who knew him (mainly those who had given him somewhere to live), deeply moved by his faith in Jesus. But not moved quite enough, it seems.

I think it fairly safe to assume his conversion was a sham, or that it was very short lived.
