Because Israel was allowed to develop nuclear weapons and built up a stockpile, then nearby countries feel threatened and believe they must reciprocate.

That is not to say that is what Iran is doing. Developing non fossil fuel energy is a priority for most countries. Israel has several nuclear reactors but no power stations. It was considering building some and then Fukushima went up, and it wasn’t considered a safe option.

The World should be concerned.

A bunch of religious fanatics with nuclear weapons, what could possibly go wrong? Especially with a religion that believes life is cheap and the afterlife is to be embraced ASAP.

I don’t think Iran will start a nuclear war but it may well cause one if they continue to develop such weapons. Israel with US support will take them out prompting response from China/Russia that could easily escalate.
