Boris Johnson urges people to get jabbed ‘to be in strong position for Christmas’

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/boris-johnson-booster-vaccine-christmas-omicron-184343617.html

Fat chance - I've just made a booking on the first available date - 4th January.

Last time I tried a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't even let me book as it said it was too early to do so.

So, which is it ?
(a) Boris is lying again
(b) Boris hasn't got a clue
(c) He means Xmas 2022

I had my booster early November but my husband is housebound and not had his, yet.

I rang the surgery 2 days ago to enquire when he might get it to be asked 'was he on the list'. What list is that.. I was told I should have called and added him to tbe list..
He had the first 2 jabs at home we wrongly assumed he would automatically get the booster the same way.. just have to wait til they send a nurse out to do it..

He is on the extremely clinically vulnerable group, has daily carers in and out and goes to day care once a week.
This is just a canary winge because he hates boris and this goverment. I do to but can't criticise them on the vaccine and booster rollout. It's telling that canary seems to of gone away quietly from this thread as his probably realised he wasn't even due to get it. Maybe he expected to jump the queue over older age groups. His certainly avoided answering the questions about when his was actually due.
It's funny how it's mostly the Boris-haters having problems getting their boosters.

I had to reschedule my booster 4 or 5 times until I was well enough to have it but on each occasion I had no problem making an appointment.
and there are plenty of those on this site Lcg....
My DiL tried to book her booster online yesterday but couldn't because "the system" hadn't been updated to take into account the 3 month gap announced by Boris. Typical!
oh do be quiet about Boris, he doesn't control every little thing. Its down to the NHS now to sort this out.
Diddly they did say to wait until you got the call for getting the booster and not to try and get it when you were not yet entitled as you could overload the system. Or is this just another way to try and have a go at Boris and the Tories.
indeed it is tsm, talk about whinge bags...
We waited until we had the text then it was simple to book and to book a day and time which suited us.
diddly has had her booster by all accounts...
mine was 10 days ago and I got notification by text from the surgery three weeks before....very efficient on the day and the 2 surgeries on the day were looking to stab 1200 people....in and out inside 25 minutes including the resting time of 15 having had both the booster and flu.
same here dtc. i got seen early, had the booster jab, waited 15 mins and out.
I have had the booster, but I know plenty who haven’t. It appears to be a lottery depending on which GP surgery you belong to.
But all you Boris devotees who are denying there is any problem, perhaps you should read this link when you next get your head out of the sand

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10098789/GPs-patients-complain-Covid-19-booster-jab-chaos.html
Gromit, perhaps you could explain how Boris is to blame for the surgeries not providing jabs?
Gromit, your headline says that 1 GP has branded it a dog's dinner out of around 54,000 GPs in the UK.
so 1 out of 54000? right oh Gromit!
mine wasn't administered by the surgery this time, but a drop in centre.
I have only had a GP administer a jab to me once and that was over 40 years ago. It's always done by a nurse here.
Shedman - my DiL was entitled to go online and book one but couldn't as I explained. The NHS must have had prior notice of what Boris was going to announce so why wasn't the website geared up to deal with it?
Diddly //why wasn't the website geared up to deal with it?//
Failure of whoever was responsible for the website.Nothing to do with Boris.
