You cannot expect people - whatever their vaccination status - to stay away from the places you wish to go to in those circumstances.

Germany will ban unvaccinated people from shops and bars and a vaccination mandate may be in force by February

//Because MrsCheese would prefer to catch the virus and build their own immunity instead of having vaccines...//
Then that's her choice. How long has it been since people in the UK were prevented from taking their own decisions about their health. I must have missed the edict. Fully vaccinated people who still feel in jeopardy by going out will have to stay in.

//But ultimately stupidity will accelerate natural selection but especially so in this country//
Then what are you worried about?
Who is worried ? I am triple jabbed and comply with the recommendations
Some see it as their duty not to be or want to be difficult for the sake of it
Natural selection will sort that
Or mandatory compliance

Yes I knew about Germany's proposal when I wrote. I also know that Greece proposes to fine unvaccinated people over 60 around £85 for every month they remain unjabbed.
I think both proposals are preposterous and reek of the kind of authoritarianism that this country can do without.
The elected leaders of those countries obviously feel differently
Why would that be I wonder ?
A small minority of the public have to be protected from themselves with the proposed legislation
Ironic that one of the countries is where democracy is alleged to have been born !

Perhaps “worried” isn’t the right term. So why did you say that Mrs Cheese should “…stay away from crowded areas and places where the public gather.” Why does it concern you what others do?

“Elected leaders” always take it on themselves to “do something”. It makes them feel good. In the UK compulsory vaccination is unlawful. If Parliament wants to change that it is entitled to do so. Good luck to them with getting that through both Houses and good luck with enforcing it should they ever manage to do so. Until then, it is a matter of personal choice. So long as it is, to deny people, who have exercised their choice in a way of which you don’t seem to approve, access to certain places is hypocritical. Get the law on vaccinations changed or do not discriminate against those who have exercised the choice that is currently available to them under the law.

There all sorts or reasons why people have declined the vaccine. Some of them are sound reasons (I have a nephew who has a particularly sound reason which I won’t go into here). Others are frivolous or, in many cases, simply absurd. But the fact is they have a choice. As it happens I agree with you entirely – everybody should be vaccinated unless they have a very sound medical reason for not doing so and I think people who don’t do so without good reason are just plain bonkers. But I defend their right to make their choice, however bonkers they may seem.
Prior to the pandemic this country was not an authoritarian state. People have choices over most aspects of their lives. The legislation that keeps society in check is mainly prohibitive – you mustn’t steal things; you mustn’t break the speed limit; you mustn’t assault anyone. Very little criminal legislation Is prescriptive, apart from perhaps you must pay your taxes. We don’t have legislation which compels people towards certain behaviour and as soon as we do the genie will be well and truly out of the bottle.

Yes it is one of the few "prescriptive" laws. But there are quite a few to do with motoring - you must have insurance; you must wear a crash helmet. Of course you could turn them on their head by saying "you must not drive without insurance" or "you must not drive without wearing a seat belt." The driver has a choice whether or not to drive a vehicle at all. No such choice would be present if vaccination was compulsory. You either have it (innocent) or you don't (guilty).
For what it's worth I don't think there is a cat in Hell's chance of vaccination being made compulsory in the UK and if it isn't it should not be made pseudo-compulsory by coercion.

Again New Judge has been very clear. You don't have to drive, so the rules will not affect you. To be forced to hand your body over to have something injected into it against you will, is a very different kettle of fish. Not a 'Remoaner' by the way, it is this sort of authoritarian attitude to 'rule by diktat' that first made me sceptical of the EU.
Some very nasty, basic and long buried (I suspect) attitudes seem to be emerging. Yet again - once authoritarian pathways are established it is very, very difficult to get rid of them. This is a dangerous time for the concept of the EU - and for other countries.

I tend to look more at the bigger picture of what this virus and others may do to humanity in the near and distant future
I suspect that heads of government are actually doing the same for once
