Back to the thread, it is my humble opinion that Johnson is finished, certainly with vast swathes of the public and it would certainly seem also with a growing number of Tory MP's. Yes, the opposition is so appalling they may not win but other Parties may well bite into the Tory vote (eg REFORM) and split it giving Labour a backdoor in. It will be those MP's with lower majorities (especially the so called red wall Tories) that will see themselves at risk. They will be the ones submitting letters of no confidence to Sir Graham Brady to push the 1922 into action.
It's a real mess and all down to Johnsons inability to tell the truth. He got us over the line with Brexit but his liberal green policies, clearly driven by his wife, do not chime well with Tory voters outside the Metropolitan bubble, especially floating voters. The Conservatives need to remember. Middle England giveth and Middle England taketh. They wont vote for a donkey because it has the right colour rosette on it.
Oh, and my fave is Rishi, although Liz Truss would be acceptable.
