I have never had to deal with anyone so wilfully misunderstanding before. Plus it is face to face. Apologies, but it's a bit frustrating to have to make the same point over and over again... and still have it not read.
It isn't about general statistics always, when it affects people's health and lives. A good guide, but not 100% safe.
Yes, but my research is neither anything to do with covid, or my main job.
People's lives aren't just statistics. We had a 103 year old lady who died (not from covid) who was not allowed to see her family for 10 months.
Not everyone is in the same situation. But I was a bit rude, sorry.

As the death wouldn't be within twenty-eight days of a confirmed positive COVID test, it would not be recorded as a death "with COVID".

YMB, As I said the WHO have said that no deaths directly attributable to this new variant have been recorded across the 38 countries that have reported its presence - and I suspect this is the same. I think it likely that other detrimental health conditions are involved.

TCL, it easily can be. Recover from covid, still get a false positive 3 months later, which is still recorded, 28 days after you have recovered. 4 months more or less.
