Has it now been announced that the woman arrested is the mother? I can't find it anywhere. And nobody, including Barsel needs to apologise. Noone has done anything wrong.

I don't have a problem with apologising if I'm wrong, but the heading is correct, there was no one else in the house except the children but, I read the mother is probably in her 20's and a woman of 27 had been arrested and I'm afraid I put 2 and 2 together.
As I said earlier, if it wasn't the mother who left them on their own, I will apologise.
My head is all over the place at the moment because all I seem to see these days is children being harmed or murdered.

Yes I know, I jumped to a conclusion, but I don't think I'm the only one who thought this after reading what others have said on other Forums.
I can only add that even if the mother didn't leave them on their own, she obviously left them with someone who was untrustworthy.

The mother is in custody having been charged with neglect. But regardless of who is to blame, the children as young as they were should never have been left home alone.

I have read that she was shopping in Sainsburys, how true that is I couldn't say but it was confirmed by the Fire Brigade that no-one else was in the house at the time the children were recovered from it.
