Will the ...Basking in the sun ,drinking, Pina Calada's on the beaches of the Med Holiday,
..now become a thing of the past,....... because of Covid,.....and just tales to tell the grand kids. ?

DTC@ 17.35 Reading your reply .. I do realise.. It was written by
..St Simeon ..."The Holy Fool"...and remember ..St Simeon's day is observed annually on July 1st.
The only thing I’d to change from NJ’s post for me, is to change October to September. Every else is the same…including the pretend bit.
I don’t recall anyone cowering in fear when it came to foreign travel.
In my opinion the travel restrictions are some of the dafter measures being employed to control a virus which simply is far too infectious to be effectively controlled by that
I’m taking leadership from Gulliver ich :0(
I've no idea what sadistic pleasure you get out of such posts gulliver (except perhaps a huge chunk of the green eyed monster)which are by and large carp. To a large extent Brits have been able to go abroad during the pandemic and post Brexit most of the time. I had 2 weeks in the Med both this year and last AND followed every regulation to the letter.
Anyway carry on so those that agree with you can say so smugly.
Well said Prudie, I’ll be totally honest, I’ve booked up already to go away in April with 6 of my friends and July with my husband and family , I was away last year and if I can make it 3 or 4 times in 2022,I will !!
Me too bobbi, I'm just not going to mention it on here. Foreign holidays have been the prime target for attack on AB ever since the pandemic started.
I think the main ‘attacker’ has gone for good Prudie and I don’t take a blind bit of notice of Gully anyway
It’s waned a bit, but in the earlier days of Covid, those who expressed a desire to go on holiday abroad, or even worse actually went on holiday abroad (like I did - I’ve been three times) were called Covidiots, selfish, and stupid (and other things), and I never understood why. We we’re allowed to go on holiday, so I always thought what the hell has it got to do with the small-minded whining Holiday Haters.
Ditto, dd.

I stood more chance of bringing back Covid from Blackpool than where I visited. This strange notion that a virus that has penetrated most of the world can be contained by preventing people going abroad on holiday is just about as daft as you can get.

Queuing in the Non E/U passport queue for a couple of hours would turn me off.
Especially when it was self inflicted by the Brits themselves .
Think it's called shooting oneself in the foot.
Where do you go for you holidays Gully - or can't you afford any?
just scuttle back to the UK if you need a doctor I bet.
15 mins max at passport control gully (9 in last 3 years)...you must be flying with Benny Hill Airways :-)
^^^^ love that Ryzen
I can just imagine the scene at ALC airport on gullys arrival at the Control Fronterizo....."helloa gully..youa stilla liva witha your mama anda spenda youra daya ona the Ansa Banka..waita ova derea fora fewa houra.
Hahaha, love it
We love you really gully :-)
I went to Spain in September and I’ve never got through passport check and security quicker; from landing at Gatwick and collecting my car was about 30 mins.

The Brits can't wait to get back to those Sunny Beaches on The Med.
.....Poor little Sun Starved people..... no wonder they look so pale,
but unfortunatley with Covid which they had no control over and Brexit which they did have control over but were brainwashed into voting for.
It may takea long time to get back to how it was..... if it ever does.
