Djokovic To Be Deported

Good on the Aussies for getting this specimen out of their country. Perhaps he'll now organise another superspreader tennis tournament in his native land. Good riddance.

Incorrect: he was granted exemption by a medical panel of Tennis Australia but the state of Victoria apparently now questions that, so either the tennis folk have messed up or the state border control is kowtowing to state or federal pressure. It depends on whether the exemption was feasible and within the (rather lax) regulations. That’s the issue.
Djokovic is not blameless, but I do sympathise to an extent as it sounds like he’s been caught up in Aussie politics. How much of that is his own fault is I think is unclear

Ah but we don’t know that.
I don’t care much for the bloke and deplore his attitude to vaccines but if Tennis Australia’s medical folk looked at this honestly and scientifically then it’s not his fault if they came down in his favour. I think there’s some get-out that says you don’t need a vaccination if you’ve had Covid in the last six months. But we don’t know the reasons I believe.

may not be his fault..but he has a management team and resources to ensure his arrangements conditions etc are in place and that he is fully in keeping with their country's take on this before he travelled...any doubts..don't travel..perhaps he will review his management team's abilities..and his own opinions and take on the pandemic more to the point... the ordinary Oz having to comply is quite rightly up in arms about exemptions being handed out on status and not for the correct reasons..medically speaking
not me Ich ...I strongly believe in parity of treatment and rules are in place for reasons.... status..and tantrums should not be considered.. he demonstrated his contempt early on by participation/arranging super spreader events.... as one who has been ill twice and still has not inconsiderable Long Covid issues ..this arrogance is breathtaking
