This has a breaking news headline banner on the bbc
This is a direct rebuttal to Dominic Cummings claims
2 Downinf Street officials back Cummings saying that he had to Boris as much but Boris waved it aside
Why such a headline from the bbc ? Is the death knell sounding for Boris ?

Strange how a couple of years ago Cummings was practically the Devil incarnate ... not a word of his to be trusted.

Thanks for the confirmation naomi
So DC admits to being at the cheese and wine party
That one has been addressed and is parked
This story and furore is about the previous one that DC was not in attendance at
The one that BJ had to apologise for in Parliament last week
Nice try with the smokescreen though !

I expect Cummings has the proof.
He is just waiting for Sue Gray to exonerate Boris, and he will release the Whatsapp message to ITV.
———
No doubt he has
This is like watching a cat toying with a mouse
Cummings is giving Boris every chance to fall in his sword before releasing further bombshells
Maybe he is waiting to catch them all out by waiting to see how supposedly thorough and damning the Gray report will be before finally putting Boris out of his misery ?

Didn't he write the rules?
That appears not to matter
None apply to him
He cannot recall which do and which do not
Despite categorically denying that none were broken though !

Danny, I checked your link. I can’t see that he was there - but he’s certainly getting his oar in.
Stickybottle, I am loyal to Boris. He saved us from Corbyn in the most spectacular manner, he’s seen us through Brexit and Covid, the vaccination rollout and support for businesses and those who could not work has been second to none, and still the economy is on the up. I can’t think of anyone else who would or could have done what he’s done. I think it would be a great pity - and an enormous mistake - to ditch him now especially for something so petty. But there you are. The knives are out, the bandwagons are rolling, his enemies are salivating in gleeful expectation, and the self-serving bitter slime ball that is Cummings is suddenly flavour of the month with people who two years ago hated him. Yes indeed, people are, as always … people. That’s the reason I like dogs more.

I don't suppose there's any chance that Carrie's husband was already well oiled when he arrived and the detail has passed from memory.
