Yes it is. I don't relish living in a country where politicians and their lackies believe the law does not apply to them. I'm not really fussed whether the miscreants are fined a hundred quid or not. I'm more concerned about ridding politicians of the attitude that they can circumvent the law with impunity - in this case a law which had a huge impact on just about everybody in the country.
