"None of the areas examined kept data on the ethnicity of victims and alleged perpetrators. The inclusion of ethnicity in problem profiles would enhance the effectiveness of prevention and detection by the police. Likewise, the local authorities and others would not automatically tailor their services to all victims in a culturally sensitive way. Many of the high-profile child sexual exploitation prosecutions have involved groups of men from minority ethnic communities. This has led to polarised debate about whether there is any link between ethnicity and child sexual exploitation networks. Poor or non-existent data collection makes it impossible to know whether any particular ethnic group is over-represented as perpetrators of child sexual exploitation by networks."
As we consider this "report" we are simultaneously being urged to demand the names and addresses, shoe size, previous job history, their children's names, and where they live of anyone who had a piece of cake a couple of years ago. The "influencers" who now demand this are the same creepy crew who have spent decades telling us that we are not allowed to know the identities or background of murderers, rapists, and terrorist. Particularly if they are likely to be one of the new and exciting, peace loving new additions to our way of life.
//If we knew the ethnicity of groomers, what would we do?//
For a start we would have data that ;may; assist in identifying the underlying problem. I doubt it would lean to proving any particular group being prone to grooming through nature but it may well highlight cultural differences and beliefs that need to be addressed. Of course it may be the case the Police treat certain groups with kid gloves and if that happens then those groups may well be more inclined to commit the crime.
As TTT says, to start we must recognise the elephant in the room.
