So is the the strong and forthright leadership we have been waiting for from Bozo since the Partygate furore ? Is this ‘getting on with the job’ by his standards ?
Found wanting and woefully inadequate again it would appear
Or is he doing the marvellous job that some of the deluded on here believe he is ?
Dropping Covid restrictions early against the medical advice and handling this crisis poorly will not save him from Gray 2.0 and the Met inquiry will it ?

"It would certainly explain the barely registering ‘tough sanctions’ promised so far " - yeah because they've been in effect for at least 24 hours, surely they'll have delivered Putin begging for mercy by now! You lot make me laugh!

3 minor banks and a couple of oligarchs ?
Yes
Putin must be trembling already !
Why are even some Tories already saying it is a woefully inadequate response ?

Anyone who is not squarely behind Boris is a lefty
You really need to pay more attention to what people actually post on threads that you yourself started
I even denigrated Corbyn yesterday on your thread
A pathetic excuse for a human who tried to deny that

Well done Boris!
Said some words to give the impression he was doing something, but really minimising any effects on the UK economy.
- the banks hardly do any business in the UK
- the 3 oligarchs have been on a US sanctions list for 4 years, so one one will have done any business with them for fear of the US authorities.
- Glad he quickly forgot about SWIFT ;-)

Biden's banks are bigger :-)
This squabbling is pointless.
Sanctions are not going to deter Putin anyway.
You may have heard Anders Asplund on Newsnight the other night pointing out that Putin has no plans for growth for the Russian economy, nor has there been any for the last 14 years: all is geared to defence spending. He probably does not care about any hardship for his citizens.
So sanctions need to be used both as punishment and for their longterm effect.
Incidentally it was also fascinating to see Yeltsin's old defence minister also, Andrei Kozyrev: he sounded like the spokesperson for a completely different country, especially his observations about Russia and NATO. It just shows how "far" down a dangerous path Putin has taken that country.
