I’d just remind you that that’s exactly what Russia has been saying about Ukraine too.
I’m not actually sure where China stands that.
China and Ukraine have had a comparatively friendly relationship I’ve the years and I’m pretty sure that recently China cautioned against interfering with Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

There are "some reports" that Russian Army officers have gone "missing" in parts of the troop numbers that were planted on Ukraine's front lawn, and that the squadies are not being fed. I don't know whether that is good or bad ... we can do without 1000s of conscripts and recruits deciding to go looking for supplies.

Taiwan isnt safe. China will be watching this closely, if the Ruskies appear to get away with it then they will pile in.

The underlying problem is a weak US President. We know it, Putin and Xi know it. We tolerate it they will act on it.

I heard this morning that the Russian economy is about the same size as that of Spain.

How can they afford even the uniforms for all these soldiers far less the arms and fighting equipment, especially over the long term?
