Is it really necessary to name someone "putinista" because they don't give the answer you'd like? That's pretty low...even from you TTT...really a cheap shot.
Emotions are naturally running high, but accusations of other AB members being "fifth columnists" or "Putinistas" is clearly inflammatory. Let's cut it out, please.
Murray is ranked 88th in the world… and falling.
This is just a publicity stunt.
A bit cynical really. So in a years time he will send a small cheque somewhere, when it is all over.

// Murray is ranked 88th in the world… and falling.//

Not that it particularly matters, but actually his ranking's gone up in the last few months.
As to whether it's a publicity stunt ... if you were paying attention through his career, Murray's always advocated for such issues. It's clear as day that he genuinely cares about this stuff.

Another ruined post. You are wasting your time Jim .
The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time... :P
Stoppit you cheeky man . :+)
Shameful that this news has brought some sour Reponses. Well done to Andy and all the many we'll never hear about for your help and generosity.
Oops. This is news !!! Cheerio .
It's obvious why he takes a particular interest in children caught up in violence:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Murray
Murray grew up in Dunblane and attended Dunblane Primary School. He and his brother were present during the 1996 Dunblane school massacre, when Thomas Hamilton killed 16 children and a teacher before shooting himself; Murray took cover in a classroom. Murray says he was too young to understand what was happening and is reluctant to talk about it in interviews, but in his autobiography Hitting Back he states that he attended a youth group run by Hamilton and his mother gave Hamilton lifts in her car.
Well said, ellipsis. I was just about to post something similar.
Not going to argue the point with you TTT, I'm just proud of what Andy is doing. Having said that, the census for 2022 that I have just completed asked for your nationality and it listed Scottish as well as British.

I just find it a bit sad that one of our top British sportsmen makes the announcement that he's donating his earnings gets such a negative reaction from the Scots. I always thought the Scots were tolerant people.
