answer temp by raffined Byron
Byron of course was delightfully raffish - the Byron look
mad bad and dangerous to know ( caroline lamb and blimey she plumbed the depths hur hur hur )

er kissed his half sister but the child was er normal by comparison

sold up his patrimony ( er father;s house) Newstead abbey
the half that um didnt fall down

and another half sister understood Babbages calculating engine ( = programmable computer)

makes sense to me
The leader of the most powerful country in the free world is a doddery old man and yet people here are fretting about whether Boris has straightened his tie, buttoned his jacket or combed his hair. Get a grip.
They all look stultified apart from Boris, probably because he's the guy from Head Office....
When will people understand the meaning of history and then move on?

"History is the study of change over time, and it covers all aspects of human society. Political, social, economic, scientific, technological, medical, cultural, intellectual, religious and military developments are all part of history."

N.B. critical word is "change"- OK?

Good grief, if we all made such an effort to drag up the past continually as it suits us there would be no hope for mankind.

Let it go, for goodness sake.

Contemporaneously - really? :D
I shall resurrect an, another, emotional written work about I, The most refined man on earth, by... - Em- Couldn't recall the name.

Her/his work is of exquisite.
wrong thread, apologies.
At least Sleepy Joe is awake - just. Must be the time change as he is ahead of himself - wouldn't have been surprised if he had worn striped pyjamas this morning - and not in deference to Russian prisoners in WW2.
Oh dear. I almost felt sorry for him, Sp….only almost. :-)
oh dear
he does have half his breakfast down his front

no wonder the mods have been at work

Byron I have no idea why your breathless prose has been erazed
This man has NO social skills. The other leaders appear to be ignoring him .
In most instances I would fight off unfair bullying of poor Boris. But he is on his own with the twitter video.

He looks like a bumbling, drunk and not quite with it old uncle with no social graces forced to go to a party that he doesn't want to be at.
Not inspiring confidence as the leader of our country.!
sp; /Embarrassing/ ?

What embarrasses you about that strangely focussed on Boris video?
Plenty of other delegates are standing inactive, perhaps in deference to the seriousness of why they are there, & what their mission is supposed to be about.

In fact all the smiley, Luvvie fawning over one another is the REAL embarrassment.
Well said Khandro.
Poor little Boris standing alone with hands in pockets no one talking to him. Perhaps if he didn't talk such a load of Rubbish and stopped mumbling and bungling, people might listen .
khandro

Luvvie?

Luvvie????

That's the wrong word.

Luvvies are a particular kind of actor.

Perhaps you were looking for obsequious?

Anyway leaving that aside if Johnson wasn't in that video I doubt many would look at the other leaders and cringe, would they?

There are some standing about but the difference is that Boris looks like a 15 year old at a school disco who doesn't know what to do because it's twenty minutes before the end and he hasn't copped off with the girl from 5B he fancies.
