Boris is prepared to relax immigration rules in exchange for Trade deals,with India.
Does this mean , since Brexit ,Britain is getting desperate for trade deals or desperate for immigrants to fill the gap in jobs that the Brits will not do .

I wonder if Johnson will ask Modi about the Jagtar Singh Johal case.
Mr Singh was arrested 5 years ago and has been held without trial ever since.
In 2017 he visited for a wedding celebration and was arrested shortly after. He claims a signed confession was gained by the result of torture. The Indians claim he intended to murder Hindu leaders.
The Indians want our trade, so we should kindly insist that they release one of our citizens.

Narendra Modi is a long time Putin ally, and India helped Russia beat the sanction imposed after Crimea was invaded.
In February, India abstained in the UN resolution to condemn the Ukraine invasion.

Modi is staunchly anti Colonial, and regards the British with disdain.

Boris might be jumping out of the frying pan, and into the fire.

Boris says the huge trade deal he will bring back from India with him will create 11,000 new jobs, Eh !
After saying there is a massive shortage of workers in the UK. ..Even more gobbledygook from Boris.

He said he would come back from the US with a "great" new trade deal.

The US gave him the bums rush, and sent him back with nothing.

Instead, the US strengthened their ties with the EU, with a new tariff lifting Agreement in October 2021.

So Bozo's track record of "coming back with a great new trade deal" is ... shall we be kind, and just say "could be better"?
