If he is found guilty and receives a FPN he may well feel obliged to resign. Rayner may have to as well.
That would put pressure on Johnson and Sunak to do the honourable thing, as so many have in government in the last 6 months.

Personally I think this "BeerGate" is a total waste of money and Police resources, just as 'Partygate' was.

I sort of agree.
I broke lockdown rules once, I’m sure many others did too.
Doing it repeatedly then lying about it is an entirely different matter, so much so that it’s being investigated by Parliament.
These are the issues that many are struggling with, some with blind denial, others by wrestling with the way that they were denied saying final farewells to loved ones.

But to be fair to Starmer he only broke rules set by others.Both Johnson and Sturgeon broke rules they both themselves wrote out and legislated.So it should be if Johnson resigns because of Partygate,then so should Sturgeon because of Maskgate.They wont,will they?

The Police have already looked at the event in the constituency office before the Hartlepool by election, and concluded no rules were broken. They are looking at it again because of significant pressure fro Conservative MPs.
Campaigning in elections was allowed under the rules. All the photos I have seen never show more than 6 people.
I would expect him to be cleared again.
