Didn’t the Prime Minister make Lord Geidt look foolish recently over some messages because of a new phone number?

Maybe Lord Geidt is doing what Dominic Cummings failed to?

Sandra First line of the article:- //Figures show an extra 9,814 police officers have been recruited //

You can lie about what you intend to do.
Ellipsis, If a person promises to do something knowing full well they can't or won't then they are lying, it's as simple as that.
They have more important things on their mind @11.34.
Like bringing back pounds and ounces. :))))
vulcan: "Ellipsis, If a person promises to do something knowing full well they can't or won't then they are lying, it's as simple as that. " - yes but that's not about the future that's here and now. and it wasn't elipsis that said that you can't lie about the future it was me.

Funny but even scientists talk about miles and pints.
"you can't lie about the future."

Of course you can. If I borrowed £1,000 off you and agreed to pay you back in month knowing I'd not be able to, I'd have lied to you.
If a person promises to do something knowing full well they can't or won't then they are lying. ( You can't lie about the future) Police are struggling to answer 999 calls, or even get there. Boris promised 10/ 20 k new police officer's. He lied!!
sandra : "If a person promises to do something knowing full well they can't or won't then they are lying. " - yes but lying now, the lie wont become apparent until the future but the lie is taking place now.
^ Well that's good news if its true, but coming from Boris's mouth I may struggle to believe it, especially in the light of the recent reports regarding the 999 calls, plus a lot of crime not been followed up.

Not from Boris's mouth it's a fact.
I read the link. Quote, Boris said.... When someone provides a link I read it most times if I'm really interest in the subject.

12.26, How many are cardboard cut outs just for the camera.
If Boris said it ....then it ain't true
The Police Federation has said the current uplift of 20,000 is not enough given the population increase, BUT, they do confirm that half of the 20,000 have been recruited.

Do you believe it now Sandra and Gulliver?
I suspect from what I’ve seen and heard that Boris Johnson is finished.
It’s seems inevitable that there will be a vote of confidence triggered which unless he wins by a huge margin will leave him seriously weakened. If Tiverton and Honiton goes I fear he’s had it.
He should go. He's achieved what he wanted (becoming PM) so should now shuffle off to make jokes in the Lords and let someone serious take over.
