There is absolutely no comparison between The Falkland Islands & Scotland.

The Falkland Islands are a self-governing British Overseas Territory. Under the 2009 Constitution, the islands have full internal self-government; the UK is responsible for foreign affairs, retaining the power "to protect UK interests and to ensure the overall good governance of the territory".

Scotland is an integral part of the United Kingdom& has been for over 300 years. It entered into a political union with the Kingdom of England in 1707 to create the then new Kingdom of Great Britain.

I cant wait for Scotland to finally get the referendum and the result it wants even if it takes 5 or more goes. Then we will be spared the constant moaning and can sit back and watch you all get on with it. Not sure who you'll be able to blame if things go wrong though when it can't be Westminster.

What on earth do you mean by "the result it wants". The result of the referendum in 2014 was the result a clear majority of us wanted.
I do agree with you about all the moaning though. I wish it would stop. We're not all like that, just the shouty ones.

Sorry middlemarch, you are right, I should have said Scottish abers as they are the only people who I've heard bang on about wanting independence. I believe in reality it's loosely a 50 50 split?

I don't know how accurate the opinion polls are, they have not been too successful in recent years. Sturgeon said at one time that we should not have another referendum until the polls show 60% in favour of independence for a sustained period. Of course, that has not happened. But she has to throw some red meat to the fanatics and wants to draw attention away from her many failures and fiascos.
