No, they shouldn't take children with them. If they can't make arrangements for their children to be cared for when they're at work, they should resign and do something else.

Parliament should set the example that other places of employment should aspire to.
No, and ironically I work for Thomas Cook.
I couldn't possibly do my job if I had a baby with me. Most people's jobs don't consist of sitting on a bench and just listening or talking.
The Speaker and his Deputies have the authority still to allow Members to have wee ones with them in the Chamber.

can't their hubbys look after them?
just a thought - what if Boris turned up at PMQs with a wee one on either arm?
Not enough room in the chamber for all his kids.
I think this is also a problem for those working from home, especially those without a proper office to do it from.

I've had kids screaming, dogs barking and one lady appeared on Teams with her baby in her arms to do a presentation. A complete and utter joke.

My wife had two of our grandchildren round once, in an emergency, and it was a nightmare. And we have a large 6 bed house with two dedicated offices.
There's enough childish behaviour in the 'house' without any children present.
erm how much do mp's make, she must be skint if she cannot afford a child minder for the time she is in the chamber, or did she bring her sprog to make a statement...pun
