….and so did Dominic Raab.

More lies from the Tory heads.
Why does Johnson only appoint sycophants and grovellers instead of people qualified for the job with no previous baggage or allegations?
When will all this end?

Ellipsis. Another 'one' who needs to take a breath before answering.
Come on, Togo. Stop posting things that go way over their heads. ;-)
// And those accusations are not unfounded, they're proven and documented.// sic.

It was Teresa May who was PM when the party investigation cleared Pincher of wrongdoing in Nov. 2017.
Tobias Ellwood, another Johnson critic and another Remainer with a bit of a chequered history himself says, 'the way the situation is being dealt with is leading to "the big issues" the country is facing being "overshadowed". Suddenly the 'big issues' are being over-shadowed? Where's he been for the past God knows how long?

//Fatti: "When will the Tory party get rid of Johnson?
Got to be imminent, surely? " - can you outline the mechanism that they may use to do it imminently.//

You’ve been told countless times. Just one member of the cabinet has to resign and the real questions over his tenure begin.
That said, it’s clear it has to be made plain to some of you, especially when you’re so in touch as a ‘member of the party’ that you believed that the recently lost Tory seats in the by-ejections were previously under Labour control anyway! Lol

Chequered in what respect? Attempting CPR on a dying policeman outside the Houses of Parliament you mean?
Having a bit of decency, honour and courage you mean?
Tut! And there's me thinking you knew all about politics, fatticusinch. :o)

Spicerack
//Togo was right though, wasn't he;

//Alternative headlines that might have been ... if only.

""Homophobic Johnson sacks gay Minister after malicious and unfounded accusations from unidentified source""
A spokesman from stonewall said, Blah, blah, blah, meehh.//

Gromit// malicious and unfounded accusations from unidentified source //

'Except that isn’t what happened.
He got very drunk and groped 2 men in the Carlton club in front of several witnesses. Fessed up when sobered up, and walked.'

Take a breath and think before answering, gromit. It will help you keep up.//

Lol, are you actually following the chain of events in the media?
You’re 3 steps behind atm. Do keep abreast.

Lord McDonald, who was the Foreign Office's most senior civil servant from 2015 to 2020, said that in the summer of 2019, a group of officials had "complained to me about Mr Pincher's behaviour".

"In substance, the allegations were similar to those made about his behaviour at the Carlton Club."

He said an investigation upheld the complaint adding that: "Mr Pincher apologised and promised not to repeat the inappropriate behaviour."

"Mr Johnson was briefed in person about the initiation and outcome of the investigation," he added.

Great sneer, naomi, you've clearly been working on it. x

Same old Naomi, not answering the questions…..again.
What’s Ellwood’s chequered history in comparison to the beacon that is Johnson?
The Borstriches need to remove their heads from….well, we know from where.
fatti: "You’ve been told countless times. Just one member of the cabinet has to resign and the real questions over his tenure begin.

Lol " - and I have asked countless times, how will the PM be removed?
He'd have to cooperate and resign, you need the PM to remove himself, why is that so difficult to grasp?
I'll always be ten steps ahead of you and the rest of the remedial class, Fatticus.
> As I keep saying, Johnson will not be a difficult act to follow.

I disagree, mostly because of what Max Hastings said: "The foremost task for a successor is to restore Britain's reputation as a serious country."
Question Author
Clearly not Spicerack, you’re lagging on the events of the story thus far.
Have another go.
The problem is that fatti and co just want the PM gone so bad it hurts and they want everyone to agree with them but offer no mechanism that will remove the PM "imminently" so they just get their Alans in an ever tighter twist! OK I'll help, if the 22 committee change the rules then there could be another VONC in 6 months from the last, so you've got Boris for at least another 5 months though he'll probably win that one too so don't hold your breath. If you are desperate for a scalp Sir Beer Korma may be a more realistic prospect. The jungle drums are indicating that he has indeed got an FPN possibly Shazza too, now there's a win double!
I told you the other day, douglas, I'm learning from a master .... you. :o)

Just be honest, transparent and don’t succumb to cronyism.
Everything the current government isn’t.

Lol at ToraToraTora,
You still have this pathetic notion that whoever is against Johnson must be a fan of Starmer. Poor you.
I take it back, you wouldn't get in the remedial class.

The whole crux of your thread is that Johnson knew about these allegations in 2019 before he appointed Pincher.
So when Togo talked about an alternative headline he was talking about then not now. (still with me. lol)
Gromit jumped in with;
'Except that isn’t what happened.
He got very drunk and groped 2 men in the Carlton club in front of several witnesses. Fessed up when sobered up, and walked.'

So, Togo-2019. Gromit- Last Wednesday.
Can't make it any simpler for you, I'm afraid.
lol fatti, still waiting for you to outline the mechanism by which the PM can be gone "imminently".
