The New P.m.
I am not being funny/racist or anything, but I think the next prime minister should be English.
What do you all think??

Untitled You beat me to it. Khandro - I hear what you say about Sunak’s racial background, but I’m curious - why would that be an issue? Someone’s race is only a component of their identity. When it comes to the ability to do a job I think most people would say that race should absolutely not be a factor. What I’m inferring from you is that the job of British PM should...

Most folk are not racist so the presumption is that need not be a statement someone has to make clear prior to their giving an opinion.
You posted, "I am not being funny/racist or anything, but I think the next prime minister should be English."
You used, "English" when you later indicated that meant British so that is already lazy.
However, what is more telling is that you jumped to the conclusion that three of the candidates are not English/British based solely upon the fact that they are not white.
Why is that not a racist assumption?

n. //And ...?//
Well the first question was, 'have you travelled extensively in India?'
I have, I've even taught briefly in an Indian university, so I have a little, just a little, idea about the Indian way of thinking.
Different races think & behave differently you don't have to travel far to realise that; ponder, French / English, - Russian / Italian, etc.
Pointing that out isn't racism, it's a fact, & makes the world a more interesting place, but I wouldn't want any of those above as British Prime Minister.

Sunak was born in Southampton, but from 100% Indian/ Hindu stock.//
Does that matter?
Surely if he's the best person for the job, his heritage shouldn't make any difference. If people didn't object to him fulfilling the role of Chancellor of the Exchequer, then why would they object to him (or Suella or Sajid, or Nadhim) running for PM?
It seems that you're suggesting that someone of British stock (to which I can only assume you mean 'white') should be eligible for the role.
Is that what you meant?

Can you name what might be described as an historically 'black' country in this world, which has today a 'white' Prime Minister ?

Khandro - I don’t want to sound like I’m piling in - I can see others are asking you to clarify, but areyou saying that to become PM of the UK, one of your qualifications be that you are white?
Couldn’t this possibly exclude very talented and capable candidates simply because of their racial background?
