Lol. You can't expect AB's intelligents ia to take 20 whole minutes out of their busy schedules, quizzes, soaps, series and assorted crapola, to learn something. Besides, they receive all 'their opinions' in handy bite-sized chunks from the aBBC and other trustworthy, lol, sources. I recall being threatened on here by one of site's top Covid experts for...

// Khandro, that video is almost 20 minutes long. Can you tell us what it's about?//
it is worse than AB Naomi - origin of coronavirus in a war virus lab in China. The genome has been published and there are no signs of interference, but hell its good TV.
Trust me - I used to work in one ( Porton Down)
The origin doesnt really affect the price of potatoes today
AND - IF it were lab-generated, the chines have learnt the hard way that everyone gets it, which is the fate of every war virus. the British learnt this in 1940

In this case fact is more interesting than fiction

Carlson is a US right wing nut job and Trump fanatic.
yup
obvious after about five minutes
tendentious and too short quotes, - very technical see?
Baltimore ( he is a person by the way, quite famous actually, nobel prize winner) looks at the furin cleavage site (sqad put your clothes back on) and exclaims - "o my gard - this site was made by the CIA!"
and so on for 20m
watch a knitting program - at least by the end you will be able to knit

tomus42: "The only staggering thing is the number of seemingly intelligent people that abandon crtical thinking in order to lap this kind of tripe up. " - yes, staggering but not surprising, I think, in many, there is a deep human need to want to believe all manner of fanciful tripe. There are countless conspiracy theories all with zero actual evidence that are lapped up by the hard of thinking. Includes what I call the WWOTB (wonderful world of total Balearics) Everything from Astrology, "psychics" etc to the moon landings, the Titanic, Paul Macca, 911 and of course the latest one COVID! I don't know what it is that makes normally sane people abandon all reason and logic to subscribe to this fruit cakery.
TTT - I have previously offered an explanation, and will do again - human nature needs massive reasons of seismic events in order to accept them.
Mundane, but plausible explanations are ignored in favour of fanciful nonsense, which approaches the levels of impact on the minds of some individuals who think that the more massive the effect of something is, the more massive its origin has to be.

I recall being threatened on here by one of site's top Covid experts for daring to mention the 'Chinese virus'. I was told to take my racist views elsewhere. At the same time the genius was quite relaxed about discussing the Brazilian or South African variant with his fellow, self appointed, experts.

What Tucker Carlson (??) perhaps neglects to mention (though I haven't watched the entire clip so I stand to be corrected) is that if the Chinese did manufacture the pandemic "in order to take over the world" (or whatever) their plan seems to have have come badly unstuck.
China still insists on pursuing a "zero Covid" policy and it is absolutely crippling their economy. Dozens of cities remain in various states of lockdown; compulsory testing and isolation is imposed whenever there is just a small number of cases; many of the population - as high as 200m people at times - have been confined to home for weeks with difficulty getting food and essential supplies. Consumer spending has plummeted whilst people are denied opportunities to travel or buy non-essential goods and the GDP growth forecast has been slashed. The vaccination take up is not particularly high (though improving) but the vaccines used are not particularly effective. Older people are seen as particularly at risk. The Omicron variants now abound and lockdowns are imposing an enormous economic and psychological toll.
The Chinese government refuses to revert to "Plan B" (mainly because it doesn't have one) so if it was a cunning plan by them to achieve world domination it seems to be going as well as the Daleks, who took 25 years to conquer a flight of stairs:
