^ sorry gromit ... mine was for gulliver
Gromit,
Because nobody wants to lose face by declaring that it has in truth and fact been an unmitigated disaster, nothing less and as someone who didn’t vote for but was in favour of it I’m willing to admit it.
Who was the cartoon character who thought everyone was a communist? Was it in Family Guy? Not sure. I cant remember now but he should be replaced by Tora Tora Tora!
Wonder how many Brits Queueing at airports for hours, trying to escape from the UK for a couple of weeks break , now wish they had voted remain . Because it looks like they will have to remain....
in the UK.
Even those that voted out can't get out.
Think it's so funny . The Brits couldn't wait to leave the E/U, and now they are spending thousands of £s, hours ,and misery trying to fly back in for holidays.
Gully will be spending more time on AB now the Job Centres are shut
I asked a brexiteer how they had benefited from leaving Europe.
A blue passport was the reply. :-)
Sometimes its best to say nothing if you have nothing worth saying gulliver
13.08 Think they will need more than a Blue Passport to escape at the moment, Anne.
Blue in the face with anger at the moment. :0)
But queues are nothing to do with brexit or passport colours. . and are just as bad at airports in Europe like amsterdam. Fuel potestors at ports are nowt to do with brexit either... in fact fuel prices are higher in many part's of europe
Don't upset them with reality, bobbin, They're on a roll.
13.16 "We've got the Blues on the run"
They've stop running they've all crashed into a big ugly pile. :0)
//I’m still waiting to see the benefits of if there we were promised.//

As I keep saying, the benefit is that we are no longer members of the European Union. That’s all I wanted and all I expected. Anything else is incidental.

//But queues are nothing to do with brexit or passport colours.//

Indeed they are not, bob. The queues at Dover are the result of the French under-staffing their border control at Calais. I returned from Greece a few weeks ago and the queues there to leave the country were horrendous. But this was not just for people travelling to the UK. At the airport I travelled from there was just one queue for all destinations and they included travellers to Germany, France, the Netherlands and Austria – all EU members and all participants in the Schengen scheme but their people suffered just the same inconvenience as people travelling to the UK. This nonsense that all queues are “because of Brexit” needs firmly repudiating.
Brexit stopped freedom of movement for,
E/U workers who filled lots of jobs that manned the airports and airlines Before Brexit. Air lines bosses warned the Govt about it , and people like Grant Shapps and Boris ignored them ,now the UK is wishing they had listened.

I see you're still unable to pin down any benefits even Post Brexit, NJ. Simply not being a member seems to be becoming an expensive 'nice to have'.
But the UK were net contributors to the EU to the tune of 8 billion per annum for perpetuity - a bargain-price escape!

Think it was Wait Till You Father Gets Home. Looked like Richard Nixon.
