Regardless of his age or his mobility he could have killed someone, they did what they felt that they had to do to protect themselves. It was probably over in a very short period of time.

I had to interview an old woman once, I was asking her questions. Suddenly she picked up her shopping trolley and lobbed it at me.

I know that this is going to sound callous.

If I had the choice of a long lingering death whilst suffering from dementia or getting tasered. I think that the taser is slightly more humane.
