//Don't get this Leftie envy rubbish. If a friend, or Tory donor, is happy to pay for new wallpaper or a tree house can't really see the problem. If I happened to have a very rich friend who knew my kids I don't think he should be censured if he wants to pay for a tree house. The Blairs, of course, got the taxpayer to stump up for redecoration at Number 10. Is that better?//
Lol, you sound like…..well, we all know who.
So because we can see when public and private money is being squandered or toadied for it makes us Lefties?
Must be lots in the Tory party too, many were vocal and miffed about him using Chequers for his wedding party.
I agree that public money can be used for a refurbishment like the Blair’s did if it’s within reason.
Getting others to pay for lavish £840 a roll wallpaper might look a bit suspect if those people are subsequently granted peerages etc, not dissimilar to Crudass.
For someone who thought £250,000 a year for a second job was ‘chickenfeed’ he doesn’t half do a lot of toadying for fiscal favours.
But I suppose when you’ve got 7 sprogs by several mothers it can be a bit heavy with the CSA or whatever they’re called now?
As I said he’s just milking every last drop and is no doubt holidaying in a hideaway at someone else’s vast expense that will shortly get a knighthood or similar, hence the secrecy.
It’ll all come out in the wash.

So is this the Tory idea of ‘levelling up’ yes, haranguing your mates to cover for your lavish and frivolous lifestyle?
In that case Rishi Rich and his trouble and strife can spare is a couple of hundred million in order to get through the current crisis?
Bankers and utility giants etc are getting richer by the day, we’re not in the midst of austerity, we’re in the middle of a robbery.

//By the way, in case anyone is interested in a bit more than FatticusInch's investigations, the chap who hosted Boris's wedding party is Baron Bamford who was knighted in 1990. There's not a lot left that his money can buy from Boris.//
….other than keeping the Tory party MP’s sweet and onside.

So he was given £30,000 of public money to ‘do up’ the flat…..he got others and/or a ‘fund’ to cover the other £170,000.
As I said, weaselling toad.

//Would you guys like a bit of liver with your pound of flesh?
You just won't let it be will you.//
Not whilst someone is still staining office whilst the country and economy are crumbling.
What a laugh he’s had at the expense of the Tory party faithful, mocking all of you whilst you champion him, that’s the real irony.
