No
most of these dog attacks happen in the home - owners are to blame
Who was going to muzzle this over? It was running loose.
No, that dog wouldn't have been muzzled anyway.
Bring back dog licences and stricter controls on ownership. Not all but many of these attacks involve owners who are either ignorant or don't care about training or nurturing a dog. More than a handful want an aggressive macho dog.
Agree with all the above comments.

Better luck on your next dog hating thread !!

What a silly comment
No it's not, it's a truthful comment, you often have a pop at dogs, and dog owners, so stop playing the innocent ...
are you really sugesting a loose dog such as this,
if there were muzzling
wd be skidding around mad but muzzled ?

yeah you would because this is AB
There seems to be some very entrenched views on this subject and a lack of constructed discussion, with dog attacks obviously causing problems it would be helpful if dog lovers and owners could put forward positive suggestions of what could be done to mitigate the problem in a way that would please everybody.
I think it needs to be that way round, I don't asking the anti-dog brigade to address the problem would ever be accepted by dog lovers.
Wouldn't it be lovely if we could find a way to make everybody happy, or is that just wishful thinking.
Please be thoughtful and constructive if you respond.
that last post reminds me of me
but a little more incomprehensible

Lets have heaven on earth - - now!
No.

There are over 10 million pet dogs in the UK. These incidences / problem owners (because it's not the dog's fault) are a very very small fraction of the canine population.
I’d rather muzzle a few humans :0(
I am surprised that the guy's own dogs didn't scare off the other dog. It is possible that it all happened so quickly.

Canary - I am not criticising your anti-dog point of view but there are many more people killed by other human beings than by dogs.

It is said that there is no such thing as a bad dog, but I don't believe that to be true. All animals (including us) develop into adults with a combination of nature and nurture.

But I also believe that people should be made to learn about dogs before they are allowed to get one.

This guy was out walking his two beautiful Rottweillers - it is unfair to tarnish his dogs due to the action of others.

It is like saying that if one man is a rapist then they all are.

I had to muzzle my rescue dog, he was a big dog aged 5 years when I got him. He was a nervous wreck and a bit untrustworthy as a result.
I was just going to say what Bobbi said. Should we muzzle and probably hand cuff all humans because some of them are dangerous
What a daft idea. Sorry.

No A very young relative of mine was mailed in the back garden of the dog owners. Dreadful injuries but has recovered well (3 years on, child was 6)
mailed?? Oh, for the love of ...
