Hardly a glowing endorsement. Those organisations also review The Grauniad.
The main reason why the UK is not exporting too much in the way of goods and services is that too many people either sitting at home allegedly working, whilst munching HobNobs and watching sport on the telly, or they're not at work at all, preferring to prioritise their "wellbeing" above their finances.

Wasn't like that in my day I can tell you. What they need is a good spell in the army, that'd sort them out and no mistake.
Ought to be a law, etc.
Don't you know there's been a pandemic, a heatwave, burst water pipes, in fact any number of things to throw about the place while 5Cers denigrate their country and pillory the greatest statesman ever to occupy 10 Downing Street.
In summary, sovereignty.
Thank you and goodnight. X

What matters here is that it’s a sovereign, blue passported oven ready Brexit record low trade deficit and we should all sleep soundly because of it.
Anyway, the super trade deal we signed with Australia will kick in soon and the whole couple of pence saving off bottles of wine will quickly redress the balance.

//do you avoid biscuits and do you work hard (sitting at home or not),and do you watch sport? Do you work at all?//
All of that (including the biscuits), my dear friend, is for me to know and for you to guess. Sufficient to say that I have never prioritised my "wellbeing" over the need to earn a crust; I've never "worked" from home (in my line of business it would be virtually impossible and I would not have done so even if I could). Work is work; home is home. N'er the twain shall meet (unless I had a washing machine being delivered).

For Brexiteers, nothing will convince them of the absolute disaster Brexit is, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future for the UK.
No amount of lost trade or other difficulties in dealing with our largest trading bloc will phase them.
Even those Brexiteers willing to accept that there will be no sunny uplands, cling to the idea that we have regained our sovereignty as the raison d’être for Brexit.

It was the raison d’être. There are no other immediate and significant advantages to be had. They will come later as a consequence of the raison d’être. You cannot untangle forty-odd years of political and economic entanglement with a protectionist racket in a few months.

If there are no tangible benefits to be had, I can't see the point. That's not how politics today works, it's all short-termism. How often does 'jam tomorrow' ever materialise. When are those North Sea Oil benefits going to be felt?
But at least we can make our own laws. That's not necessarily a good thing. As regards workers' rights and conditions , for example, who would you rather rely on - Europe or Liz Truss?
