It was in no way a tirade (I'll leave those to you), it was some facts about Labour's proposals to combat energy prices and help the poorer members of society. I know you find facts an alien concept but, as your taecher/mentor, try to get your head around them and I'm sure you'll see your debating style improve.

But why not address the government’s proposals to help the poorer?

Because they're a farce and you've already covered that point in your own toraesque way. You're a well known critic of the Govt (and rightly so in some cases) but there's always two sides to every story and I feel most of your OP's need more 'balance' to them.
