Partygate Inquiry Delayed.
Sorry for the lateness of this news, i didn’t see it 3 weeks ago.

Conservative MP Laura Farris quit the Inquiry the minute that Parliament went into recess. Here resignation has to be acknowledge by Parliament, so we have to wait for the next session to open. Only then can a replacement to found and sworn in.
This seems like a deliberate action, but what for ?

If he is found guilty he could be suspended as an MP. If he is suspended for over 0 days, then a more than 10 days, then we would have a recall petition in his constituency where, if 10% of his constituency wanted him to be thrown out, he’d be thrown out.

//Bit disingenuous to insinuate it has been delayed deliberately - surely with the recess it would not be happening any time soon anyway.//
They only finished taking evidence 4 weeks ago and given Johnson’s record there’s quite a bit to sift through, I’d imagine?

//Probably because she’s criticised him in the past and therefore cannot he considered unbiased - which she is required to be. I read something about other members of that committee a few days ago who are in a similar situation. They haven’t stepped down though.//
Chris Bryant certainly did.
How bad must his character be that they’re struggling to find even some of his own MP’s who could remain unbiased?
The committee is already Tory-heavy anyway, but that still won’t satisfy the Borstriches.

We know you’d prefer HRM and Dorries naomi24 but the PSC needs rational and reasoned MP’s of all stripes, not the usual Boris fawners and flunkies.
They couldn’t fashion an independent Sue Gray style investigation, they’d already tried to nobble that one.
Difficult when the main focus is such a divisive, devious and dodgy character, isn’t it?

So she’s had one or two minor scandals, totally unproven.
Care to make a comparison between her list and Johnson’s?
Do please post your links, they could be countered 5 fold with what Johnson has done, unforgivably a lot of it as the Prime Minister, hence he’s got to explain himself to his peers and colleagues.
Sadly for him one of the peers won’t he Lord Lebedev, but that’s another scandal entirely.
Pray continue……

Are there any MPs who have not expressed a negative or positive opinion of Boris Johnson in the past?
If previous negative comments are considered as showing bias then the same must be said of previous positive comments.
