No idea why the cctv has been blurred. It makes zero sense, but webbos link has very clear pics and the people will be found.

In the DM article, it seems it's the victim who is blurred, NOT the perpetrator.

It seems very daft appealing for help from the public to solve this crime, then disguising the assailant, making him unrecognisable.
Perhaps the police are desperately not trying to catch the culprit for fear it will involve them in extra work form filling. They have probably unplugged the phone.

The still picture is helpful of course but people can also recognise the way someone moves and that is obscured in the video.

Sad to say that happened just a few hundred yards from where we used to live. Tib St was always busy and vibrant and was the place to go for most "unobtainables". Also well known for it's many pet stores back then. One shop used to sell Piranhas! Tis true. That particular part of the city has lots of small, secluded streets so this person might have thought he could do this and have a better chance of getting away with it. Let's hope they catch him real soon.

I think it's Sky news that have done the blurring, as it is different to the DM version, and they've just cocked it up.

The all seemed to have made a mess of it. The Dm shows the attack but not the attacker walking away and Sky show him walking away but blurred. The walking away piece would have shown the face better.
