""If they give me less I'll be homeless as it's going to be a choice of feed the kids or pay the rent," said mum-of-seven Zoe Bridges.

The 29-year-old from Derby is already struggling to make ends meet and was visiting the city's Hope Centre food bank for the first time.

"It's a bit of a nightmare, I've come for essentials like bread and treats for the kids… the government just keep cutting everything. It is what it is," she said."

"Ben Crowe, 30, started receiving Universal Credit after he was made redundant from his warehouse job. He's been using the food bank for the last few months."

How about stop having kids, get the father/s to look after them and Ben can get a job, plenty out there.

\\Yet again, but especially for the hard of understanding I’ll ask:
How much money do you need to be comfortable?
How greedy do you need to be to survive?
How much money do you think you can spend in one lifetime?
Instead of constantly slating other ABers and pathetically bragging about your wealth(yawn) why not have a go at answering the questions?//

So according to you we should just have enough money to scrape by on.
(Sigh) I’ll try again me old china……

How many millionaires receiving £600,000 after tax are ‘scraping by’?
Let me know if any are presently facing homelessness or considering leaving the heating off for the winter?
Present me with a figure, though I’ll be guessing it’s similar to the square root of Jack $ch!t?
Isn’t generating wealth fantastic! Pay loads of tax, spend loads of money, provide all the jobs, and take nothing from the welfare state. Marvellous!

…..meanwhile, back in the real world of 99% of the population reality is anything but.
Though if the chancellor is your ex employee and you’ve just made an eye-watering fortune overnight……

….the government are about to reduce your tax too! Win/win!!
Yep.
//Isn’t generating wealth fantastic! ..provide all the jobs //

Presumably you mean; all the jobs provided generate the wealth for the employer.
That too, zebu.

You're a poet but did you know it? :-)
;o)
Currently watching Jake Berry, Tory Party chairman being dissected by Andrew Neil on Ch4 over government policies, cuts and the champagne reception he attended too with Kwarteng and the donors/hedge fund managers.

It’s like watching a lion mauling a lamb.
