\\The industrial action has disrupted refining and delivery and comes as workers across Europe demand higher salaries to cope with surging inflation and a cost-of-living crisis.//
Cost of living, I thought that was only in England and down to Brexit and number 10.

/The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has doubled down on criticism of the chancellor's mini-budget, days after warning it will fuel rising prices.
The body, which works to stabilise economic growth, admitted tax cuts announced by Kwasi Kwarteng would boost growth in the short-term.
But it said the cuts would "complicate the fight" against soaring prices.
It expects high prices to last longer in the UK with only Slovakia out of the eurozone set to see higher inflation.
Inflation, which measures how the cost of living changes over time, is expected to peak at about 11.3% before the end of the year in the UK, according to the IMF's latest assessment of the global economy./
That fiscal event has caused irreparable damage financially, economically and politically it seems?

/are you saying that webbo's question is out of order?/
Why would that be implied?
Given that the OP was questioning why it wasn’t covered on BBC but was on Sky I was showing that the BBC maybe deem other news a bigger issue, one that directly affects us more than the French story?
Just a hunch mind, feel free to give you’re own, you’re allowed to think for yourself.

Atheist.
\\The Brexit Brigade (aka BB) are quick to finger perceived Euro bias against the UK) but slow to recognise their own bias against Europe.//
Nonsense, just pointing out Europe has problems the same as us and the blame can't be apportioned to Brexit or the nasty Tories, although the French do have Macron.

it seems to be almost 40c a litre cheaper in France than here, as of a couple of weeks ago. No wonder everybody wants some.

That the French have problems "the same as us" doesn't seem entirely accurate, though.
