More ‘spin’ from Sky News:

/Tory MPs heads 'in their hands' after meeting with Liz Truss

The mood in the Tory party is moving really fast.
Asked where Tory MPs' heads are now in relation to Liz Truss, one replied "in their hands".
Her meeting with Tory MPs this evening was described as delusional.
She tried to pin everything on Vladimir Putin and said people should be giving her government more credit.
Her PMQs promise that the government would "absolutely" not cut spending may technically end up being true, but will not match people’s experience in the squeeze to come.
And the government is doing a very good impression of being in a public war with the Bank of England.
So it's not hard to find the plots.
At dinners, over drinks, many want them gone.
Maybe even straight after the 31 October statement on how they will balance the books. Maybe later.
But there are problems.
Nobody wants a leadership contest involving the members.
But that means a coronation of a new PM - a unity candidate who stands unopposed.
But who can unify this governing Conservative Party, with all its contradictions, factions and emotions?
And if they can't find someone, what then?
Could 40-plus MPs vote with the opposition, pull the emergency cord and force a general election, knowing huge defeat is imminent but thinking it is better for the sake of the future Conservative Party for Labour to own the handling of this disaster, so they can crawl back faster into power?
It's toxic. It's uncertain. It's not resolved. And the economy could be about to get worse.
Boris Johnson says the herd instinct is powerful and when the herd moves, it moves.
Liz Truss should watch out./

Place your bets!! PMSL
I've come to this thread late.
FatticusInch asked Do tell how much catastrophically worse Labour could be?
Well, here's just a couple of things.
Much of the current economic problem here and worldwide has been caused by lockdowns. Labour argued constantly for locking down harder and for longer and (at the behest of the teaching unions) for keeping schools shut.
Labour is completely in hock to the ideologues who push wokery. The Conservatives have not been good at pushing back against this (until Braverman became Home Secretary) but Labour would actively accelerate this damaging trend.
//Boris Johnson says the herd instinct is powerful and when the herd moves, it moves.
Liz Truss should watch out//

So suddenly he's right! That really is so funny! I would say 'PMSL' but such habits are not conducive to personal dignity.
Nice on Naomi :-)
Thinking isn't the OP's forte, YMB. ;o)

Lol, as deluded as he was. Johnson’s terminology for ‘my Parliamentary Party have finally had enough of my lies, deceit and incompetence’ was laughable.
Truss is struggling under the incompetence banner at present, with more U-turns in the offing.
Time to step aside, it’s already terminal.
Not even a good try, fatticusinch, old chap. Your boot is once again jammed very firmly in your mouth. :o)

^What does that mean?

Well, you always struggle with the truth where Johnson is concerned, don’t you? Lol.

What’s your opinion on how Truss and Kwarteng have done so far?
Try and be truthful, I know it’s difficult for you though.

Fatticusinch, You told the truth at the end of your blurb at 09.42 - albeit inadvertently. ;o).

Can you please answer my question at 10.01?
10.03. I don't know but I am wondering if, despite being warned, you're falsely accusing people of having multiple identities again.
Fatti - you referring to me as your "old china" is as far from the mark as my frequent use of "damn savages". Just saying.

ROFL, the argument that the media are portraying the Tories and government in the incompetent way that they’re presently perceived, even by their own?
You need to have a break from AB and take a look at what’s going on in the real world.
Fatticusinch, like thinking, patterns aren't your forte either. You really should stop with your accusations.

I've given my opinion on the new PM and chancellor.
