I like the BBC typo

Sir Graham Brady, chair of the 19222 committee

Wow, he's really got the numbers behind him now...
/Sir Graham Brady 'enters back of Number 10' - as key committee meetings cancelled
Our deputy political editor Sam Coates has just had two potentially significant updates from Westminster.
He says photographers at Downing Street claim to have seen Sir Graham Brady, the chairman of the 1922 Committee, entering the back door of Number 10.
This has yet to be confirmed to Sky News.
Sam added: "Second thing, inside Whitehall there are some eyebrows being raised because of some absolutely critical committees – the internal government committees."/

She’ll be gone by teatime, the weight and volume of letters alone will perpetuate her resignation.
When the herd moves…..

As Neil Kinnell once said, they'll be weighing them not counting them
They turned on Boris when he started to treat his own MPs with contempt.
Shocking the Prime Minister has made the same mistake only a few months later.
Question Author
drmorgans: who's Neil Kinnell?
Where is Boris? Why is he not in the House of Commons representing his constituents, instead of raking in the cash giving speeches abroad?
in the Caribbean apparently goodgoalie, so he missed the fracking vote.

Tory MP Toby Elwood just said that if Truss resigns there will be a run on the pound. Quite the opposite methinks.
Hi Painto
she has called him in

I dont think it is - " Oh dear Prime minister - you are on your way out

I think it is: Truss for it is she: YOU Brady will bloody well tell the troops to troop into the lobbies when I say. You know why - a General election will see them on the dole queue.
and you - you wanna be on the dole q at your age ?
think on you old fool !

There is a whole world out there - old people with only AB to tap at and Wordle to do! - now Brady - git!

that is what I think she is saying.
and Brady has been quivereing

Oh no Prime Minister - I have seen what they do on AB
Not that ! anything but that ! {Brady's jowls wobble pathetically)

PM ( in her Felix Dzherinsky voice) "take him away!"
and to her underling - shoot him!

Looks like Truss vs the lettuce is going right down to the wire.

Isn't he a conduit for backbench feeling while the whips are there to enforce party discipline?
We are in strange territory.
Everyone agrees that Truss must go.
But no one wants another leadership election.
If a new leader is imposed, that isn’t going to unite the party.
Question Author
PP: you may be right. But if she tries that route she's going to be told to fugger off.
Question Author
PP: 'Old people with only AB to tap at'. Does that include you?
JNO @ 12.19 is Carrie with him or is he Fracking out there.
Liz Truss asked to see him ... not the other way around.
There plainly won’t be another election or at least not one involving the members.
It seems that there’s almost as much support among them anyway for Sunak as Johnson.
Sunak it must be assuming he wants it.

I assumed last night's vote was on gas extraction not the former PM's conjugal rights.
