BRING BACK BORIS! Penny is still my choice of the rest but it now seems a real possibility that Boris could return. He's the only real big hitter and the party and the country need him back.

Gulliver I think you’ve done Boris a massive favour after all, keeping his name alive since he even took the PM job and after,so I guess it’s a thank you for this, we conservative voters will be forever in your debt

"Can you explain why Boris is on holiday (Caribbean?) while parliament is in session?"
Allow me:
Oh he's been through so much, poor man, all that disloyalty and backstabbing, nobody could begrudge him a bit of me time.
Covid, war in Ukraine, inflation etc.
Add your own to the list of self-serving guff from the enthralled.
The bottom line though is that he does what he wants when he wants because he's a selfish, entitled oaf.

Personally, I wouldn't be too bothered, but I'm not sure how it would look to the outside world (ie outside the Tory party). After Liz Truss, anyone would be an improvement out of the likely candidates.
And as I mentioned before he has this inquiry hanging over him.
It will be fascinating to what happens if it looks like he's in the frame. Will those MPs who don't want him back rally behind a single other candidate to make sure that candidate gets the necessary 100 backers?
One single big thing in his favour is that with him as PM the Tories can claim to have the leader who won them the GE in 2019 back at the helm.
It seems extraordinary to think he might return, but probably no more extraordinary than what has recently been happening.
There'd be huge celebrations in Kyiv, that's for sure.
