It would seem that Russians have completely abandoned the city of Kherson, the only regional capital they ever managed to occupy.
Not that that means comfort and joy by any means.
God knows what they have left behind.

It does look as tho they are trying to build a defensive line across the front from Luhansk to southern Kherson oblast, using mobilised personnel, and possibly billeting troops in houses forcibly evacuated. I suspect the "attack" phase of the so-called "special military operation" is about to end and they will attempt to hunker down behind this new "border"
Only time will tell.

I've said much the same many times. As for the rest, I don't know. Not being an expert, or even terribly knowledgeable about it, I try to sort the wheat from the chaff in an attempt to make some sense of it. That's all I can do.

To report that a bomb dropped on a factory isn't propogating anything, it's simply the truth & it's neutral. Propoganda has an agenda.

Ignoring that, it seems Ukrainian airborne forces launched an assault in the Kherson region this morning.which may or may not be significant
Russian sourdes seem to think a big push is coming but, again, …
Satellite imagery of Kherson city apparently shows Russian defensive formations around the city perimeter.
Which if true is actually rather odd

Events may be reported accurately but the method of reporting and the language chosen to report those events can influence perception. That's propaganda.

I’d say that on the Ukrainian side the propaganda is more presentation. As khandro says.
Russian is, quite simply, lies. And ridiculous ones at that.
It seems that Russia’s policy north/west/right of the Dnipro in Kherson is scorched earth: reports of electricity poles being demolished in Beryslav, NE of Kherson city, blowing up of microwave masts, heating and internet turned off.
The Times leader yesterday referred to the regime in Moscow as “depraved”. That word should be used more often: “depraved” is what they are

When the Russians withdrew from the former East Germany, the took everything they could get their hands on with them, I saw a photo of one carrying a w.c. pan on his shoulders ! I think he may have thought that when he got back to his village all he'd have to do was set it on the ground & s*** in it. :0)

I read a report this morning - can't remember where I saw it now - that something like 106,000 Russian lives have been lost in Ukraine. Would that be right?

I think a lot of these figures are grasped from thin air. The only people who may have some idea of Russian losses are the Russians I they wont tell, however they have lost a lot of young inexperienced poorly trained (if at all) men sent into what overheard conversations are calling the 'meat-grinder', at the battle front.

I suspect the Ukrainians may have a better idea of the number of Russian losses than the Russians. Often they leave the bodies, or they simply disappear possibly because: no body no compensation. There is huge “cemetery” of dead Russians by a roadside in Luhansk for example.
The Ukrainian defence ministry has kept a tally of “indicative losses” since February which now stands at over 77,000: that is a stat which I am sure is only an estimate but it’s one which has the merit of having been kept from the start. It presumably doesn’t count Wagner group losses which are also huge relative to their smaller numbers.
The death toll has been growing vastly in the last few weeks. Up to 600 perished in a disastrous assault on the small Donetsk town of Pavlivka the other day, which caused the local occupiers on the ground to send an urgent message back to Moscow deploring the general state of their deployment.
If you take into account wounded, captured, surrendered etc then the losses are surely in 6 figures.
Did anyone watch the Panorama programme on Mariupol last night? I must confess I couldn’t bear to. Yet.
