Aww, he was great, used to make me laugh.
To be honest, I thought he was already dead...
RIP Leslie.
Oh I say...
Sad. Saw him in a really good production of Camino Real at the RSC in Stratford several years ago. RIP
Used to love LP, I can always imagine Sqad to have been a bit like him in his days as a Consultant
Ahhhh ... lovely, funny man. A good innings.
Oh no Bobbi, much more Sir Lancelot Spratt:

^^ I agree, gg :-))
Mmm,yes, yr right GG played by the lovely James Robertson Justice
He had a bad cancer growth on his nose.
'I Say'... What a fine actor he was.

There cannot be many of the original 'Carry On' cast left now?
His best bits:

R.I.P Leslie Phillips, he lived to a good age.

I think Jim Dale is the last man standing.

Used to love listening to Leslie Phillips on The Navy Lark back in the day. RIP.
Yes an old mate of line here in Ibiza along with Terry-thomas and Denholm Elliott and Kenneth Williams. Used to chat and have coffee in the 70s
Sad news indeed. RIP Leslie.
Aww one of the best, good long life though.
I liked him. 'Always' played the same part to perfection.
He'll always be Sub-Lieutenant Phillips, in The Navy Lark, for me. The only navigational command he ever seemed to give was "Left hand down a bit" ;-)
I feel really saddened. A passing knell for a rather gentler age. Well loved, he always brought a smile to one's face.
'Ding dong' indeed. R.I.P. Leslie.
